Fighting For Australian Workers Who Have Had Their Wages Stolen By Their Boss

Failure to pay overtime, penalties & allowancesA common form of wage theft is when an employer fails to pay correct overtime, penalty rates and allowances.

People who work weekends, public holidays, early morning or late night shifts, or any overtime, will often be paid at a higher rate.

Depending on the industry, workers may also be entitled to extra payments called allowances, for things such as mobile phones, or cars, or if you use your own tools on the job, or for working in dangerous or unpleasant conditions.

To check which award applies to your job, visit the Fair Work Ombudsman website and use the Find My Award Pay Calculator.
